DEREK MOFFAT
Assistant Coach

Moffat enters his fourth season as an assistant coach with the Minnesota Swarm after being named to the position on Nov. 4, 2004.

Before joining the Swarm, Moffat, 36 (1/5/70), served as an assistant coach to Paul Delmonte with the Burnaby Lakers of the British Columbia Junior A Lacrosse League (BCJLA), helping lead the Lakers to the 2001 Minto Cup Finals.

The Burnaby, B.C. native also served as head coach of the Burnaby Intermediate A club that finished as provincial runner ups in 1998 and 1999. Moffat also worked at lacrosse camps for the British Columbia Lacrosse Association from 1992-93 and the Burnaby Lakers from 1992-99. He spent three years as a player with the Burnaby Lakers Junior A from 1989-91 and nine seasons with the Lakers Senior A team from 1992-2000.
Moffat also played one season with the NLL’s Pittsburgh Bulls in 1993.

Moffat is single and currently resides in Eagan.
