JIM IBISTER
Vice President, Facility Management
General Manager, Rivercentre

Ibister holds the position of Vice President, Facility Administration as well as General Manager, Saint Paul RiverCentre. He is responsible for the overall operations of the Saint Paul Arena Company, with emphasis on Saint Paul RiverCentre, which includes The Legendary Roy Wilkins Auditorium. Ibister also works closely with the RiverCentre Authority and other city agencies and civic organizations and is involved with promoting, booking and servicing all events at these venues.

Each year, the RiverCentre hosts approximately 300 events attended by more than 750,000 people. Events at the RiverCentre represent tens of millions of dollars of economic impact to the city of Saint Paul. For the Saint Paul Arena Company, Ibister also works on new development opportunities such as facility management and the acquisition of the National Lacrosse League’s Minnesota Swarm.

In addition, Ibister oversees campus-wide Information Technology efforts and the operation of 317 on Rice Park for Minnesota Sports & Entertainment.
Ibister, 45 (11/21/62), served five years (1996-2000) as the Executive Director of the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester, Minnesota, before joining Saint Paul Arena Company in July of 2000. He was the Director of Event Operations at the Saint Paul Civic Center from 1994 to 1996 and spent seven years as the Mayo Civic Center Operations Manager from 1988 to 1994.

Ibister graduated from St. Cloud State University in 1987 with a BS in Theater and Speech Communications. He and his wife, Molly, have a son, Carter and a daughter, Ellen. The New Hope, Minnesota, native enjoys baseball, hockey, theater and writing in his spare time. The family currently resides in Roseville.
