SAINT PAUL, Minn. – The Minnesota Swarm today acquired a 2013 first round draft selection in a trade with the Edmonton Rush in exchange for F Zack Greer.
“There was less available playing time at Zack’s position due to the recent acquisition of Jamie Shewchuk,” general manager Marty O’Neill said. “We’ve put Zack in a place where he is going to get the best chance to play. He was a good teammate in Minnesota and well liked amongst his peers. We wish him the best of luck in Edmonton.”
Greer, 25, recorded 10 points (5g, 5a) and collected six loose balls in four games with the Swarm in 2011. As a rookie last season, Greer registered 23 points (10g, 13) and collected 45 loose balls in 13 games.
Swarm season, group and single game tickets are available with options in all price ranges. Tickets for the 2011 Minnesota Swarm season, presented by Treasure Island Resort & Casino, are available by visiting mnswarm.com or calling 888-MN-SWARM.
