Play Local

Founded in 2003, Homegrown Lacrosse is dedicated to encouraging positive change in the lives of youth lacrosse players and supporting the growth of the sport in Minnesota.  Our mission is to inspire and empower players of all ages to excel in life and lacrosse by developing character, building self-confidence and instilling a sense of community.  At Homegrown Lacrosse we believe that being a great player doesn’t mean you’ll be a great coach. For us, being great coaches requires more than skill on the field; it also requires strength of character, confidence and a desire to make a difference in the community. Above all else, we have a profound passion for everything lacrosse.

Testimonials
  • "My son had signed up for the clinics by himself. On the first day, before the start time he was walking around by himself as other kids had paired up for some catch. He was probably a little lost and feeling out of place, when one of the coaches ("the one who plays defense with the bent stick", according to my son) grabbed a ball and played catch with him for 10 minutes before the start of the clinic, giving him pointers along the way. I thought this was a very perceptive move that this coach made, to see a kid by himself and then to jump in and start playing with him and giving him some attention. Little things like this speak volumes to parents and make the kids feel so much more at ease." - 2010 Winter Program Parent
  • “I like how we were always moving. We were never sitting still and that’s hard to do with sixteen kids but you guys found a way to do it with everyone.” - 2009 Winter Program Participant
  • “Our son has a passion away from lacrosse that he pursues in the summer. Thus he has had little exposure to college level coaches. This program brought him some of the attention that quite frankly he deserves from coaches at the "next level". Thank you Homegrown.” - 2009 Fall Program Parent
