SAINT PAUL, Minn.– The National Lacrosse League’s (NLL) Minnesota Swarm today announced that the team has re-signed D Rich Morgan and D Jon Sullivan to one-year deals.
Morgan, 31, collected 51 loose balls and posted nine points (4g, 5a) in 14 game appearances for the Swarm during the 2010 season. The seven-year veteran has recorded 443 loose balls and 134 points (71g, 63a) in 107 NLL contests with Minnesota, Portland and Anaheim.
“Rich gives us a versatile player who can do so many things and play so many roles,” General Manager Marty O’Neill said. “We will experiment with Rich on the offensive side of the field this year, which should be interesting.”
Sullivan, 28, appeared in all 16 games for the Swarm during the 2010 season. The six-year veteran collected 72 loose balls and posted six points (3g, 3a) last year. In 88 career appearances, Sullivan has recorded 325 loose balls and 41 points (11g, 30a) for Minnesota.
“We're extremely happy to have six-year vet and Swarm defensive player of the year back in 2011,” said O’Neill. “Jon is a consistent and steady performer for us.”
