SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Prior to clinching a playoff spot Saturday night, the Minnesota Swarm hosted the first annual Media Lacrosse Game on Treasure Island Field at Xcel Energy Center. The event was designed to introduce local media members to the basic skills and gameplay of America’s fastest growing sport.
The event consisted of three main activities: a Lacrosse 101 session with Swarm coaches and players, a scrimmage, and a fastest shot contest.
Swarm players in attendance included team captain Andrew Suitor and forwards Callum Crawford, Ryan Benesch, and Corbyn Tao. Media members were also given the opportunity to shoot on goalies Evan Kirk and Tyler Carlson during the scrimmage.
