SAINT PAUL, Minn. – The Minnesota Swarm will hold Date Night at the Hive on Friday, Feb. 10 at 7:30 p.m. and Dog Day at the Hive on Sunday, Feb. 12 at 2 p.m. during a doubleheader weekend on Treasure Island Field at Xcel Energy Center.

“We are excited to host our first doubleheader weekend at home since 2008,” Swarm Co-Owner & Vice President Andy Arlotta said. “Coming into this weekend after our big home opener win two weekends ago against Buffalo, we are ready to see how we match up against Edmonton and for a rematch against Rochester. With Date Night, we are able to bring out the after work crowd looking for something fun to do on a Friday night, while Dog Day is a great way for us to bring out more families and to showcase what we are all about; fun for the whole family.”

On Friday night, fans are invited to bring someone special to the Hive when the Swarm takes on the Edmonton Rush. By using the special online code “LOVE” fans can receive two worker bee tickets for a total of $44.

During Sunday’s rematch against the Rochester Knighthawks, fans are invited to bring their dogs to the game. The day will feature a pre-game dog walk beginning at 12:30 p.m. around the concourse level. For only $10, fans can enjoy the game from the upper bowl with their dog. Early arriving fans will receive key chains courtesy of Old Dutch and the first 300 arriving dogs will receive a Swarm dog bowl. Old Dutch will also be offering free product samples.

Special sponsors will be on hand for dog day, including Pet Yard Pick-Up and Douglas Animal Shelter.

Lower level tickets start as low as $20 and can be purchased by calling 1-888-MN-SWARM or visiting mnswarm.com. Swarm fans looking to lock up season tickets in 2012 can take advantage of a Buy 2 Get 2 at 50% offer. By purchasing two season tickets at full price, fans can add an additional two tickets for half the cost.

*Dogs must have a human companion. One human and one dog per ticket.
