Swarm Stung by Arizona in Final Preseason Game The Arizona Sting defeated the Minnesota Swarm, 16-13, in a come-from-behind victory in front of 10,305 fans at Glendale Arena on Friday evening. Arizona trailed 12-9 halfway through the fourth quarter, however, Cory Bomberry (5 goals) led the Sting to their second win of the preaseason. The game was tied at 8-8 at halftime, but the expansion Swarm gained momentum in the second half up until the midway point of the fourth quarter. The game was the final preaseason tune-up for both clubs. Kerry Susheski and Chad Culp led the offensive attack for the Swarm. Susheski tallied two goals and three assists while Culp scored once and added four assists. Ryan Cousins and Ryder Bateman were the only other multiple-goal scorers for Minnesota, who outshot the Sting 61-55 in the game. Minnesota finishes their preseason with a 1-2 record, after splitting a pair of exhibition games with the Colorado Mammoth last weekend. Arizona finishes their exhibition schedule with a 2-0 record, previously defeating San Jose by a score of 12-8 on December 3rd. The final game of the NLL preseason will take place on December 30th as the Toronto Rock play the Philadelphia Wings at the Molson Centre in Barrie, Ontario.
